We have been testing a new way to fill
these cartridges through the printhead but found that the molds
for the refilling tool where not stable and caused ink to leak.
So we decided to use these tools for priming a refilled
cartridge. This tool is great to stabilize the internal pressure
of the cartridge after refilling. We invented this type of
tool over 10 years ago it was known as the Snap & Vac.

 |
Here we show some of HP's little cartridges. They are
haft the size they use to be. Some of these cartridges
only hold 4 or 5 mls of ink.
They all
use the same refilling method. Under the label of the
cartridges there are holes that you will refill the
cartridge through.
All cartridges are dated
and some printers will not let you use the cartridge if
it is out of date. You will need to look very closely at
the cartridge to find the date. |
|
 |
You can see from the photo we cut open a color and black
cartridge. The biggest rip-off is the color cartridge
because if you run out of one color then you must buy a
new cartridge. HP use to state how many mls of ink there
where in the cartridges, but they no longer do. |
|
 |
Their new # 60 color and black cartridge have a false
bottom and holds even less ink. If you own a printer
that uses anyone of these cartridges then you need to
learn how to refill them. If not, you better take
out a loan at the bank. |

 |
Our Snap & Vac tool is
supplied with our refill kit. This amazing tool can
prime the color or black cartridge after refill. This is
very important should you run the cartridge out of ink.
Insert the tip of the syringe into
the bottom of the snap & vac. Now pull back slowly and
you will feel a small amount of resistance. You should
see some ink being drawn into the syringe. Draw the
plunger to about 8 to 10 cc mark and hold it there for
about 15 to 20 seconds. Slowly let the plunger return.

 |
Install the Black or Color Cartridge on to the
refill clip.
We include with our refill kit a new refill clip. They are great
to store the cartridge (s) until you are ready to use them. Our
clips stop ink from leaking out while you are refilling. Now there
is no need to get ink on your hands.
Press the print head down into the black sponge and then push
forward to snap the cartridge in.
Under the top label there are filling holds.
Using a tooth pick push it into any hole and then pull it out to
see what color the chamber is. It does not matter on the black
cartridge.

For very stubborn clogs or old
cartridges we have supplied a soaking tray. Fill the tray with
the printhead cleaner and let the cartridge sit for about one
hour. Then clean the printhead with a paper towel. Use the Snap
& Vac to draw out the ink.

|
Never put a dripping over filled cartridge
in the printer. If the printhead on a cartridge is leaking ink
then it will not print. Over filling of the cartridges can cause
poor print quality.
My ink levels do not show full after refilling the cartridges?
This reset
method may work on some HP printer.
You will need two extra cartridges and the
one you refilled. First, put the refilled cartridge in the
printer. Allow it to recognize the cartridge and print an
alignment page. Take that cartridge out and place in the first
extra cartridge. Allow it to recognize and print an alignment
page. Take the first extra cartridge out and place the second
extra cartridge in. Allow it to recognize and print an
alignment page. Take the second extra cartridge out. Place the
refilled cartridge back in the printer. It will print an
alignment page and then the estimated ink level will be reset to
full.
Your
refilled cartridge will print even if the ink
levels are not showing full.
