Step 1
Remove the ink system.
Fill the prime syringe with
1ml of ink then put the tubing over the first needle
and hold the tubing while push very slowly
on the plunger. The ink will slowly enter the
printhead filling that color.
Never pull back on the plunger
Do all the colors the
same way.
Very Important:
If you push to hard the hose
may slip off and squirt ink all over you the printer
and the room.
|
 |
When priming the cartridges make sure you do not
have the plugs in the ink bottles |
 |
Step 2
Put a piece of
tape over the ink ports on the bottom of the ink
system cartridges as shown. This will stop any air from
entering the cartridge when you are priming it from
the top.
|
 |
Step 3 Remove the plug near the hose on top of the
cartridge. This is where you will re-prime the cartridge. See
photo
|
 |
Carefully snug the syringe tip into the cartridges priming port |
 |
Step 4
With the tip of the syringe in the hole
pull up on the plunger. Keep doing this until you
see 1 mls of ink in the syringe. Before removing the
syringe put the air plug back into that color ink bottle. This
will stop any ink from running back to the ink bottles. A small
amount of air in the ink tube is ok. Then remove the syringe and
put the
plug back ink. See photo
Do all the colors the same way. This is how you prime the ink
system
|
 |
Step 5 Install the system back into the printer. Making sure
you hear it click in.
|
 |
Before turning on the printer make sure you open the air vent
plugs. |
 |
Turn on the printer and do a nozzle check. The first one will
not be very good because you just primed the printhead.
Never do more then three cleaning at a time. Let it sit for
about 2 or 3 hours then you can clean again.
